The Thirteenth Tribe..

I've read this book several times in the past - but not on the Kindle Program. As a repeat; I've reviewed this book several times many years ago. As for the book itself, I can easily see that it would raise eyebrows among many in the World Jewish Community. All Jews would like to be blood-related to the 12 Biblical Tribes of Israel (the Chosen Ones.) . Well, this book is an eye opener for many. Since this book has been written - now with the discovery of proven DNA - many - especially among tribes of Cohen; much has been recorded and Mr. Koesler is apparently correct. In any event, it's well worth reviewing.

A very interesting analysis of who the Khazars were, what they did and what became of them

In 732, the Franks, led by Charles Martel, defeated the Muslim thrust into Europe through Spain, at the Battle of Tours. In 674, the Byzantines defeated the Muslim thrust into Europe through the Balkans, at the Siege of Constantinople. But there was a third door, and history books rarely mention the fantastic defense of Europe that the Khazars made at the Caucasus Mountains, holding the Umayyad Caliphate at bay through centuries of warfare!
This book is a very interesting analysis of who the Khazars were, what they did and what became of them. True, I gather that recent DNA analysis has undermined some of the author's claims about modern Jewry and the Khazars, but nonetheless it is an excellent book on the Khazars and their empire.
If you want to read about a little reported chapter in world history, then you really should get this book. It is both very informative and very interesting!
