Delivers on the subject matter. A great primer and explanatory resource for those not familiar with the derivatives markets or those looking to expand their knowledge base. Not intended as a starting point, but as a way to increase working knowledge of the area. A bit dense, but that is a reflection of the subject matter and not the authors.

Wonderfully clear, unpretentious explanation

Francesca Taylor has an almost unique ability to clearly explain some very detailed and complicated material, and make it seem really straightforward, and quite simple.
(In contrast to asking a Quant, which, after 2.1 minutes, usually, has had me wishing I'd gone to the dentist for a root canal instead, because that'd be more fun..)
Very good coverage of recent issues, and the subject as a whole.
