More suitable for first time calculus learner

My daughter used this book and my son used the book by Ron Larson in their high school AP calculus class.

I think this book gets to the major points in a simpler and less obscured approach. Larson's book is more comprehensive with way more approves and theory that results in losing focus and lost in the maze for some first time students.

In short, this book is better for students intend to major in Engineering and Ron Larson's book for people intend to major in mathematics and theoretical physics from my observation.

An enlightening wonderful book

What do we know or believe about Heaven? Almost every religion and culture identifies a life after death. How many have you ever talked to someone who actually went there to visit and came back to talk to you?

Let me tell you about my story and that of a good friend.

In May of 2006 I was working as a part-time consultant to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. I was helping them start some juvenile drug courts modeled after work done at the Lane County Oregon Juvenile Justice Center. We were developing ten projects around the country and all the site teams were meeting in Texas for our fourth annual meeting. When Margaret, the director of the Seattle project, arrived she told us that Dean Braxton, a member of their team, was in the hospital and near death. His vital systems were shutting down. We stopped the meeting for a few minutes of silent prayer and then continued on with our discussions. A few months later I learned that Dean had survived his hospital experience and recovered.

The next year at our annual meeting, when Margaret arrived from Seattle, she told me Dean was coming and had something to tell me. I asked her "What?" She said, "When his systems shut down, he went to heaven!" I was stunned and when Dean arrived I asked if he would talk to a group of us about it. He agreed and the story was truly amazing.

Since then Dean has quit his job and traveled the world to share that experience with others. He has been throughout the United States, to Africa, Central & South America, and Asia.

He is a great speaker and now has written this wonderful book. It describes heaven in all it's glory. If you have read the book "90 minutes in heaven" you will recognize much of that authors experience. These two authors have never met or read each others books, but their descriptions are almost identical. They both obviously have visited the same place.

Dean however was the only one to meet and experience Jesus. Dean's book also has many scriptural references that link his experience with the Bible.

If you are a Christian you will gain great assurance, relief, and wonder when you read this book.
If you have recently experienced a loss or are dealing with a life threatening illness you will find great relief in this book.
If you are not a Christian believer you owe it to yourself to read it with an open mind, pray for understanding, and see where God leads you.

You will be forever glad you read this book.

WOW, wonderful book! Changed my life!

I personally know Dean and Marilyn, they are true, honest, wonderful people. Reading this book really changed my life, it allowed me to be at peace with death and gave me the assurance of a better life beyound this one. Give this book to your friends and family, it will bless them!

Awe Inspiring - Makes me excited about going to my real home!

I heard part of Deans testimony on the internet, I ordered the book because I wanted to know more.
I felt compelled to read it, I loved it, because it makes you feel what Heaven and Jesus are like and
how much He really loves us. During the time I was reading it my 82 year old father passed away.
I was actually excited because I thought he is there! and is seeing all this!!!!
God used this book at a time in my life when I really needed it.

Lots of Promise, Can't Wait For More

The first installment of GIO! was a fun read. Issue 1 is short, but, as a digital version of a homemade zine, that's nothing out of the ordinary. After finishing it, GIO! has left me wanting more, not only because it is short, but also because novelization is a medium not common for a shonen series. However, the choice of a novelization makes GIO! stand out among other shonen series, and I'm excited to see where the future installments go. Adam Robezolli has presented a world with characters that any teen, young adult, or shonen fan can enjoy.

I'd like to see more of Corey Lewis's work within the text, illustrating more of the events taking place in the story. Robezolli could also do a better job creating a picture and drawing the readers in with his words. While some moments of the story were engaging, others felt bland and descriptive, like a basic play-by-play of events. I see lots of promise in GIO!, and can't wait for future issues. There are a few things that could be improved, but as a first issue, things can only get better from here. GIO! Issue 1 is 100% worth a purchase.

So Fun!

I had a great time with this -- GIO! has a super fun cast of characters and this is the first chapter in a story I can't wait to see unfold. Clearly very anime/game inspired -- the story reminded me of a cross between Jet Set Radio and Ninja Scroll. Loved it!

Great start

The story is still developing, but so far, GIO! has an interesting premise. I enjoy the descriptive language & futuristic setting for the working class characters. The ninja elements feel a little trite in 2012, but the story has enough fun, quirky parts (and video game homages) to get a pass in my book.

This is a disappointing textbook. It's riddled with errors - on almost every page, from substantive errors like spelling and grammar to exercises printed in the wrong lessons and sentences and paragraphs cut off in the middle. The grammar explanations are poorly written and the grammar exercises are almost perfunctory, so it's difficult for students to absorb the material. And compared to other textbooks the supplemental online materials are scant, and in some cases contain broken links and missing video.
